Older Adults

Ojai UMC does outreach in many ways to older adults and homebound church members as well as to the various housing facilities in our community. Home visits by both the pastor and other members occur on a frequent basis and other members of the congregation visit facilities to provide musical entertainment and holiday gifts. Ojai UMC also supports the work of Help of Ojai, (www.helpofojai.org), in its many classes and programs for the Valley’s older adults and low income residents.

Ojai UMC also offers a variety of fun get-togethers. Our ladies group meets monthly at a local restaurant where its dedicated members discuss various service opportunities as well as enjoying each other’s fellowship – and a lot of yummy food!

And… because we are all one, big, beautiful church family and Body of Christ, we aren’t usually satisfied to see each other only once a week! Many of our congregation members host relaxing gatherings, dinners, BBQs, and pool parties throughout the year. Everyone is welcome, because
at Ojai UMC, we don’t know any strangers!
